Mission: To mentor and educate local youth through hands-on gardening experience at various local community sites.
Goals:
- Provide opportunities for our members to mentor youth
- Increase the community knowledge of further gardening oppotunities
- Connect all students to further training in their desired garden field and possible career opportunities
Learn and Grow!
- Learn to care for various garden plants
- Practice hands-on skills with guidance from experienced gardeners
- Learn to identify plants
- Receive info on local jobs and positions
- Be awarded your own gardening hand tools upon completed participation
- No-cost gardening classes
Dates: Saturdays – June 17th, June 24th, July 15th, July 22nd
Time: 10 am – 1 pm
Location: Veneta Library
Fill out and submit the Application and we will notify you the week of June 5th of acceptance. Space is limited to 14 students.
