First Fall Meeting

09/12/2020 10:00 AM - 12:00 PM
Veneta Community Center
Address: 25192 E Broadway Ave, Veneta, OR 97487, USA
It’s that time of year, a new Season of Garden Club begins! This year will be a little different, for obvious reasons.
Our first Garden Club will be held outside, behind the Community Center at our newly planted Pollinator garden bed, this Saturday, Sept 12th @ 10 am – 12 noon.
  • Please bring a chair, mask, drink and snack for yourself.
  • We will meet outside and have an hour of social time 10 – 11am.
  • 11 am – Noon we will meet and discuss the upcoming season.
  • I would like to hear your ideas of what you would like to see happen, as well as share my ideas.
Moving forward, we received word from the Community Center, that we can not use their facility for meetings.
The Elmira Grange has offered us the big Hall for use, at not cost, for the coming Season.
Future meetings this year will be held at the Grange, provided it is feasible.
For this Saturday, if you have conflicting plans, I urge you to meet us at the pollinator garden for the brainstorming session from 11 to noon.

The Willamette Valley Hardy Plant Group is getting ready for its 31st Annual Hardy Plant Sale on Saturday, May 11, 2024, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Lane County Fairgrounds in the Auditorium Building. It is a plant sale by gardeners, for gardeners!
PLEASE NOTE: Lane County Fairgrounds allows only service animals in the building.
It’s hard to believe this is our 31st Annual Plant Sale. Our popular sale takes place on the Saturday before Mother’s Day. This indoor sale will feature specialty vendors from throughout Oregon plus non-profit groups. New and familiar vendors will be selling perennials, trees, shrubs, grasses, hostas, rhododendrons, hydrangeas, succulents, air plants, ferns, natives, herbs, vegetables, fruit and rock garden plants. We also have vendors offering beautiful garden-related art for sale! You’ll find birdhouses, garden- themed scarves and ceramics.
And there is a holding area where you can safely leave your plants and art items while you continue to shop.
Don’t miss finding all your favorite plants as well as new and exciting ones, all under one roof, rain or shine. Admission is free.
There is a central checkout area. Cash, checks, Visa and Mastercard credit and debit are all welcome. There’s ample parking and there will be a loading area where helpers will watch your plants as you retrieve your car, and then assist you with loading them.
Proceeds from the sale support the Hardy Plant Group’s monthly Educational Speaker program.
